Škoda Auto presents the second generation of the Kodiaq, taking sustainability, spaciousness and safety to a new level. The Czech car manufacturer’s SUV flagship has seen its dimensions increased once again and now features the first elements of the Modern Solid design language. The all-new Kodiaq comes with state-of-the-art infotainment systems, including an optional 13-inch screen and a head‑up display. Innovative Škoda Smart Dials with haptic controls and a 10-inch Virtual Cockpit come as standard. The voice control system will from mid-2024 onwards become even more advanced with the integration of the AI-based chatbot ChatGPT. Škoda’s large SUV also adopts a new interior concept based on Design Selections. The five powertrains offer outputs from 110 kW (150 hp) to 150 kW (204 hp) and are always mated to a DSG automatic transmission. The powertrain line-up now also includes a plug in hybrid version with an electric range of more than 100 kilometres and an entry-level mild-hybrid powertrain. The two top engines are combined with all-wheel drive as standard. Also making their debuts are the latest generations of the LED Matrix beam headlights with a significantly higher light output and the Dynamic Chassis Control system (DCC Plus).

Hyundai Ioniq 5N eN1 Cup Car.<br/><br/>The Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup Car is Hyundai's attempt to make an accessible electric race car.<br/><br/>Impressive aero elements, plenty of grip and reduced weight make driving on the racetrack enjoyable.<br/><br/>Its price tag of just over $100,000 makes it a relative bargain in the high-stakes world of motorsports.<br/>Hyundai knocked it out of the park with the Ioniq 5 N, turning this beautiful hatch-cum-crossover into a hot ride suitable for drivers looking to have fun.<br/><br/>The Ioniq 5 eN1 Cup Car certainly looks the part, with its imposing spoiler, wide wheel arches and stripped-down interior. Equipped with slick tires and dual motors, it delivers an impressive total power of 641 horsepower (478 kW / 650 PS).<br/><br/>However, power is stored in an 84 kWh battery pack. This means that even though Hyundai has stripped the Ioniq 5N eN1 Cup Car of all its luxuries, it still weighs 4,343 lbs (1,790 kg), so it's not exactly a lightweight vehicle.<br/><br/>As the Ioniq 5 N street car proves, all those numbers are far less important than the car's driving feel.<br/><br/>The Hyundai race car will also have some nice features like synthetic powertrain noise that will help provide drivers with an auditory clue as to what the vehicle is doing. The Ioniq 5 N eN1 Cup Car will also feature a boost button that can only be applied a few times per race to ease passing while rewarding tactical driving. As with electric go-karts, race control will be able to slow down the vehicle if the driver behaves unsportsmanlike.<br/><br/>Best of all, the Ioniq 5N eN1 Cup Car is relatively inexpensive as is. They combine outstanding performance and driving dynamics with a long electric range.<br/>The combination of the 3.0-litre six-cylinder in-line engine and the permanently excited E-synchronous machine generates a maximum system output of 430 kW (585 HP) and a maximum system torque of 750 Nm. The performance is correspondingly dynamic: acceleration from 0‑100 km/h takes place in 3.8 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 280 km/h (saloon with optional AMG Driver's Package). Up to 140 km/h are possible purely electrically.<br/>The 120-kW electric motor is integrated into the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission to save space. The high-power density of the hybrid power unit is achieved by the permanently excited internal rotor synchronous technology. The electric motor's maximum torque of 480 Nm is available from the first revolution and ensures high agility even when starting off. The traction battery with 400 volts has a gross capacity of 28.6 kWh and is installed in the rear under the trunk floor. The energy content that can be used every day is smaller at 21.22 kWh, as part of the energy is always reserved for boosting and thus high-performance driving. Nevertheless, the high-voltage battery enables an electric range of up to over 100 kilometres.
